It is the new trend since the COVID-19 pandemic. “Work From Home” or Just re-adjusting to the pandemic, most of us are doing it! But are you doing it right? Or maybe you are working from home and aren’t achieving as much as you thought you would. So how to work from home? Let’s dive in.
Have A Schedule
Maybe you hated your old schedule but now you need a new one to adjust to being at home with its distractions. Without structure, the most diligent of us will be overwhelmed. Creating a routine not only creates order for the day, but also lets you stay focused. If you’ve just began working at home or you’ve been doing it for a while, take a couple of days to get the best routine for your day. So set reasonable standards on what you will do on a regular basis. Ensure you give yourself permission to have downtime.
Relax
It may be tempting to work relentlessly, particularly if you’re trying to show that you’re successful at home. But it’s important to have daily breaks. Breaks cause the mind and brain to relax and get more inspired.

Reward Yourself
By rewarding yourself, the brain produces positive thoughts, allowing you to know that the actions would result in a positive reward. By doing so on an ongoing basis, the brain will begin to relate gratification to the achievement of a mission or goal and work towards it in the future.
Stay In Contact With Friends And Family
Continuous isolation can lead to a weakening of satisfaction and work. So if you don’t have a job that needs to be done face-to – face with others on a daily basis, you need to make extra attempts to remain integrated. Make a point of conducting periodic coffees and meetings with coworkers, customers and colleagues. Get involved with professional organisations. And to maintain connections, use social media sites like LinkedIn. Since accessibility can be a critical aspect in who is promoted, check in with peers and managers as often as possible. Share some of the things you have completed.
I think there is often a negative connotation to people working from home. One often assume that it is easy and carefree when in fact you have to work so much harder to make ends meet. Therefore you put in more hours and tend to forget to take a break. It is therefore important to have a schedule and take time to relax and reward yourself. A nice read, thank you for reminding us what is important when working from home.
